OUTDOOR BLOCK PARTY FAQ

What time does the show end –

All out door block party events on Friday and Saturdays by 10pm. Sunday by 9pm

Items Not Permitted –

  • NO weapons, knives, pepper spray,  fireworks, explosives, butane
  • NO alcohol or illegal substances
  • NO MARIJUANA! RCW 69.50.445: This law makes it unlawful to open a package containing cannabis or to consume it in view of the general public or in a public place. A violation is a Class 3 civil infraction. Washington State Liquor Control board requires us to eject anyone caught consuming Marijuana. WSLCB may or may not be onsite to enforce this law and hand out tickets for publicly consuming. Hate the law? Call your senator and get involved.
  • NO drones, UAV, UFOs or aircraft
  • NO pets (exception is legitimate service animals as covered by law)
  • NO chairs, Blankets, tents, pop-ups, canopies
  • No Wagons or Carts.
  • NO backpacks (large or framed), purses, bags larger than 14″ x 14″
  • NO squirt guns
  • NO laser pens or similar focused light devices
  • NO cameras with detachable lenses
  • NO selfie-sticks, GoPros, tripods
  • NO chains, chain wallets, or spiked jewelry
  • NO spray paint or markers
  • NO glass containers
  • NO outside beverages (exception is milk/formula for babies)
  • NO outside food (reasonably-priced food is available inside the festival including vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free/dairy-free options)
  • NO coolers of any size
  • NO illegal or unauthorized vendors
  • NO unapproved pamphlets, handouts, advertisements, and promotional materials (including stickers, vending items, etc)
  • NO negative vibes, this is the last out door party of the summer!

Water Refill Stations –

We provide FREE water refill stations inside the venue. Bring one empty water bottle and fill up to your heart’s content!

Lost and Found

Onsite, the lost & found is located at the boxoffice where you enter. You can go there to report a missing item and see if we’ve found your missing item. We work hard to reunite folks with their stuff. If you don’t find your item before the festival is over, you can email us at: info@airporttavern.com to report your missing item.

Military Discounts

Through VetTix, we have promotional tickets for eligible veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders and their families. Please visit Veteran Tickets Foundation at www.vettix.org

Where is the block party located

South Tacoma Way on 54th Street between Washington and South Tacoma Way adjacent to Airport Tavern. You will enter the festival through the Airport Tavern Music Hall Main Entrance located on 54th and South Tacoma Way… There is no other access points to the event footprint.

What do I need to bring

  • Proof of ticket purchased
  • Credit/Debit card and/or cash
  • Government issued photo I.D.
  • Good Vibes and Sunny Smiles!

Can I get a refund or transfer my ticket to someone else?

While we have a no refund policy on tickets, you do always have the option to transfer your ticket to someone else. Learn more about transferring your ticket on Eventim, the official ticketing platform of Airport Tavern Music Hall.

Are the shows family friendly?

Some shows are 21+, Some Shows are All Ages. Please check the website for the specific show you would like to attend.

Accessibility
Our venue is ada accessible. Any available seating is first come first served. If you need special accommodations please email info@airporttavern.com

Blankets and Chairs

For the safety and flow of the event, chairs and blankets are not permitted at Airport Tavern Music hall events. We explored several options, but due to the street layout and visibility limitations, we’re unable to create a designated seating area that meets safety and viewing standards this year. We appreciate your understanding and encourage everyone to enjoy the show standing or dancing in the crowd!

Ticket Information FAQ –

No refunds or exchanges. All sales are final. Tickets purchased are for the festival, not for a specific artist. Artist, venue and schedule are subject to change without notice. Artist cancellation is not grounds for refund. Change in date of artist performance is not grounds for a refund or ticket exchange.

Do NOT purchase tickets through a 3rd party, a friend or someone on Facebook. You do not know they are valid passes. We can only guarantee ticket validity for purchases made through our official ticketing vendor, Eventim. We cannot offer customer service support for passes not purchased from an authorized ticketing vendor.

What about Parking?

Parking is limited, and we strongly encourage guests to use ride-share services (UBER / LIFT), public transit, or carpool whenever possible.

There is no designated event parking, and Reggae on the Way is not responsible for and does not control any parking availability or pricing. Some nearby local businesses may offer paid parking in their lots, but this is handled independently.

If you do park on the street, please be respectful of our neighbors—do not block driveways, alleys, or fire lanes. Plan ahead and allow time to find a spot or arrange alternative transportation.

Are in and outs allowed?

Yes. You will need to visit with a staff member at the marked exit point obtain a credential that will allow you to re-entry.

Where is your boxoffice?

You can pruchase tickets at our box office, located right at the bar inside the tavern. We’re open for in-person ticket sales from 4pm – 11pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Buying directly from us lets you skip most of the online convenience fees – and you’ll walk away with a old school physical ticket! ** our box office is credit card only.

Do you have age restrictions for events?

Age restrictions vary buy event. Most of our events are 21+ only, but some are open to all ages. Please check the specifice event details on our calendar for more information. For all ages events, minors can attend but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. For 21+ events, no one under 21 is permited regardless of accompaniment.

Is there parking available?

Street parking is available in the neighborhood or grab a spot in one of the many paid lots nearby. Save money and the planet by taking advantage of Tacoma’s public transit.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Yes, tickets are typically available at the door, subject to availability. However, for popular events, we recomend purchasing in advance to ensure entry.

Do you charge service or convenience fees?

Online Yes. However, purchasing tickets directly at our boxoffice helps you avoid the convenience fees. Our box office is credit card only.

What are your operating hours!

Our operating hours are:

Sunday 4pm – Midnight

Mondays: Closed

Tuesday: 4pm – 2am

Wednesday & Thursday: 4pm to Midnight (or later)

Friday & Saturday 4pm to 2am

Is there seating or standing room only?

The tavern side of the venue has table and seating available first come first served. Music Hall seating arrangements varry by event. Some events are standing room only, while others offer seating arrangements. Please refer to the event details for specific information.

Do you offer food and drinks?

Yes, We offer a variety of food options, along with a large selection of coctails, mocktails, Draft beers and a variety of non alcholic options.

Are there vegan / vegitarian / gluten-free options?

We strived to accommodate dietary preferences. Please inquire with our staff about current vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free options

Is the venue wheel chair accessible?

Yes, our venue is wheelchair accessable, if you require assistance, please let our staff know upon arrival.

Do you offer accessible seating?

Accessible seating is generaly available. Please contact us in advance to arrange accomodations at info@airporttavern.com

What is your bag policy?

Small bags and purses are permited but may be subject to search upon entry. Large bags and backpacks are not allowed.

What items are prohibited

Prohibited Items include:

  • CANS, BOTTLES, GLASS, OR CONTAINERS (including re-usable water bottles)
  • OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGE (outside alcohol will result in immediate removal)
  • BACKPACKS OR LARGE BAGS OVER 12” X 12” X 8”
  • ILLEGAL DRUGS AND/OR PARAPHERNALIA (will result in immediate removal)
  • WEAPONS OF ANY KINDIncluding Firearms, pocket knives, leatherman, pepper spray, tear gas, handcuffs, stun guns, wallet chains, studded belts, etc.
  • SKATEBOARDS, ROLLERBLADES, BIKES, ETC.
  • ANIMALS/PETS (EXCEPT SERVICE ANIMALS)
  • AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDING EQUIPMENT
  • Drones, balloons, beach balls or related items, laser pens or pointers, noisemaking devices, whistles, air horns, poles/sticks to display flags, banners, large signs, pamphlets, fliers, handbills (unless previously approved) OR ANY other item deemed inappropriate or dangerous by Venue Management.

WEAPONS ARE NOT ALLOWED, REGARDLESS OF ANY LICENSES OR PERMITS. THIS INCLUDES FIREARMS, KNIVES, OR ANY ITEM DETERMINED TO BE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS BY OUR SECURITY STAFF AND/OR MANAGEMENT.

PATRONS WHO ATTEMPT TO BRING PROHIBITED ITEMS INTO OUR VENUES WILL BE ASKED TO RETURN THEM TO THEIR VEHICLES.

IF YOU ARE EJECTED FOR BRINGING A PROHIBITED ITEM YOUR TICKET IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

Do you have a lost and found?

What is your photography policy?

At load-in our hospitality manager checks in with the band’s tour manager to find out what the band’s policy on photography is. Our entire security and door staff is notified of this policy so that they may enforce it. Some bands say absolutely no cameras while others say cameras are okay, just no flash photography. We suggest that you ask the door staff upon entering the venue as to whether or not you may take pictures. This way you will not have to deal with it during the show.

I want to rent Airport Tavern Music Hall for a event. How do I go about doing that?

If you are having a private event (wedding reception, class reunion, meeting, expo, etc) or you are an outside promoter and are interested in renting Airport Tavern Music Hall for your own production, please email info@airporttavern.com

My plans have changed, Can I get a refund for my ticket?

Ticket sales are final and non-refundable. You may give or sell (at face value) your ticket to a friend, but there are no refunds for purchased tickets for any reason.

Is there re-entry?

If you are 21 and over, you may leave and come back unless the show is operating on a “one-in-one out” basis. Ask your friendly security guard about the re-entry policy for the evening. There is no re-entry for those who are underage. If you leave the venue, you will be re-screened by security. No exceptions.

Costumes

No full face coverings (Full masks may be worn if pulled up on the head). Staff must be able to recognize/verify photos on government-issued ID.

No fake weapons or violent props such as guns, knives, baseball bats, lightsabers, etc.

No costumes that mock race, religion, heritage, cultural identity, or trivialize human suffering.
